Education is the pinnacle of lifesaving with the training and education of new members along with the continual up skilling of existing members to benefit the community.
Education ranges from the surf awareness awards in the nippers club to the Surf Rescue Certificate and Bronze Medallion award, the minimum requirements for an active lifesaver.
Once patrolling there are many opportunities to up skill including advanced resuscitation techniques, inflatable boats crew and drivers, beach management awards, spinal management awards, first aid awards and the pinnacle gold medallion award.
Sydney branch also runs courses through the season and lists proficiencies held at other beaches in case you cannot make the Clovelly proficiencies.
